Privacy policy
Auberge La Véranda operates the website www.aubergelaveranda.com. This policy explains which personal information we collect when you visit the site or fill in a form, what it is used for, who it may be shared with, and how to exercise your rights. It applies under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by the law commonly known as Law 25.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The person with the highest authority within Auberge La Véranda is in charge of the protection of personal information. You can reach them by email at info@aubergelaveranda.com. Every request for access, correction or withdrawal of consent, and every complaint, goes through that address.
The information we collect
Browsing the site requires no account and no personal information.
When you fill in the contact form, we receive what you type in it: your name, your email address, your phone number if you provide it, and your message.
The site's host keeps technical logs (IP address, page requested, date and time, browser) for a short period, for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify you.
What this information is used for
We use the information from a form for one purpose only: answering your request. We do not add you to any newsletter without your consent, we do not sell your information and we do not rent it to anyone.
Cookies
The site sets a single cookie: the one that remembers your answer to the cookie banner, so that we do not ask again on every page. It contains no personal information.
The site currently loads no analytics tool and no advertising cookie. If we ever add one, the banner will present it to you and load it only with your consent.
Who this information may be shared with
Two providers are technically involved in processing your information. Web3Forms relays the content of the forms to our mailbox. Cloudflare hosts and serves the site and keeps the technical logs. These providers may process data outside Quebec, notably in the United States, under laws that do not offer the same protections as Quebec's. We chose them for their security measures, and they are only allowed to use your information to provide us with that service.
We do not share your information with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Retention and security
A request received through a form is kept in our mailbox for as long as it takes to answer it and follow up, then for as long as the law or a contract with you requires. It is then deleted.
The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to the mailbox that receives the forms is password protected and limited to the people who handle requests.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete, withdraw your consent to its use, or ask for its deletion. Write to us at the address above; we answer within the thirty days set by law.
If you believe we have not handled your information properly, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
Confidentiality incident
If an incident involving your personal information presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires, and record the incident in our register.
Changes
We may change this policy. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date. Last updated: September 4, 2026.
